((((( Full tutorial on my YouTube page))))) Thank you for clicking on my video! I’ve got a fun and quick crochet pattern for a small butterfly appliqué. This little appliqué can be used in so many different ways. Scrapbooking, charms, hair clips. .etc. I decided to make hair clips by simply sliding a bobby pin through the back loops. (I reference this step in my video) 😊. This crochet butterfly is just one round and it’s all done in the magic ring. I chain 1 at the start of my magic ring but it does not count as a stitch. Enjoy the pattern! Happy crocheting! 🦋❤️🧶 Materials I used for this small project: Size 4 acrylic yarn Size 3.5mm crochet hook Scissors Abbreviations: MR = magic ring DC = double crochet TC = treble crochet CH = chain HDC = half double crochet SL ST = slip stitch F/O = fasten off Picot = There are many ways to do a picot and this is the way I do it for this pattern. Please refer to my video on how I do this stitch. Lets begin! 😊 Form your MR, 2DC, 1TC, CH1 then do a picot, 2DC, SL ST. (This is the first larger wing 🦋. Now let’s do the first smaller wing) 2HDC, 1DC, CH1 then do a picot, 2HDC, SL ST. (We’ve completed half the butterfly so far. Let’s do the other half) 2HDC, 1DC, CH1 then do a picot, 2HDC, SL ST, 2DC, 1TC, CH1 then do a picot, 2DC, CH1, SL ST. F/O and leave a bit of a tail. Close up your MR tightly. It’s okay if there still a bit of an opening. Take your strand and carefully wrap it around the center of the butterfly. Secure your two strands together with knots. I positioned my knot at the top of the butterfly. Snip off the excess leaving about 1/2 an inch in length for the “antennas”. All done!!! ❤️🧶🦋 Thanks for watching! 😊 #crochetideas #freecrochetpattern #crochetbutterfly #crochetapplique #funcrafts
