I don't know for sure, but I don't know if Andy Serkis was saying that in a racist way. I could be wrong, but in the UK, there are very white places and it's not always said as a good thing. I recently visited a lovely, idyllic looking village with my dog. All the (very white) locals glared at me like I was some sort of weird outsider (despite the fact I am also white and live only about an hour from this place) just like the hobbits do when dwarves, or wizards come to the Shire. The pub in American Werewolf in London is also a good example of this. It's happens a lot in these rural villages. That said, he could just be awful 🤷♀️

This is exactly how I’ve been feeling. As much as I love the original works and many of the people I’ve met, the amount of discourse from the larger institutions and fanbase is draining. It’s the biggest reason I haven’t continued to make LOTR content.
