@aloomahfertility: We hear this one constantly… She has given up caffeine, alcohol, sushi, soft cheese, the lot. She is taking supplements she researched at midnight. She is doing acupuncture. She is going for bloods before work and injecting herself in the bathroom at her sister’s wedding. And he is still saying he will look into it ‘when he’s ready’. We are not having a go. There is a reason it happens. Booking the test feels like inviting a verdict on yourself as a man, and doing something feels better than finding something out. So the supplements get bought, the routine gets started, and the actual test keeps sliding. Jacky did a version of it himself. He bought the lot and did the routine. What he actually had was structural and none of it touched the problem, and nobody tested him properly for years… Here is the part that does the damage. She notices. She always notices, and she says nothing, because she does not want to be nagging him on top of everything else she is carrying. Male factor is involved in around half the cases that end up needing IVF. Half 😮 It is not her thing that he is helping with. It is both of them. Nobody needs to be perfect at this.
