Today is a complete 3 months surgery, I have recovery very fast day by day thanks to God, one side one side placement surgery, please remember me in your prayers because still limping problem because of muscles weakness 🙏🏻

i had avascular necrosis induced by steroids in both femoral heads. Terrible pain to live with. Femoral heads collapsed, eventhough I still managed to walk. Had by both hip joints replaced, the second one 3 months ago.

My son had a hip replacement at 13.5 but it was from avascular necrosis from blood supply being cut off due to Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis 15 months prior.

I will be 4 weeks post double hip replacement next Wednesday. I was able to walk and stand straight away. not for too long as you get fatigued. my advice is do exactly what they tell you. keep up the physio as you will be very weak however Arthritis will be gone!! good luck!!

I had one hip replaced in October and recovery was quicker than I expected. I was off the pain meds within 2 weeks. I was off the walker and cane in about a month. Almost a year later, I feel good as new.

God bless you. I just had my left hip done and it was worse than having a child. Im on day 14 and its better im walking with a cane . I pray for your strength and healing.Atleast you will be able to walk again.

it’s probably not as rare as they make it out to be. They just do not investigate thoroughly or take the patients own knowledge seriously…

You will cut your pain and recovery if they do the surgery from the front this way they don’t mess with your tendon thru the side they cut tendons and much harder to recover

I have to have both hips replaced as well not doing both at the same time but they both are being replaced.. very soon .. HOPE YOU RECOVER WELL!!!!!!

Wow, man I had my right one done and I was pretty golden after a couple of weeks, you are going to get so relief, I would not even know, I had one other than the scar on my butt

i had the same thing in my left hip just replaced it Aug 6 posterior, be prepared it hurts like hell the first 3-5 days are miserable

i’m so sorry that happened to you! the very thing that’s supposed to relieve the pain actually damaged your hips. I have hip arthritis in my left hip and I am currently trying to decide whether to go for a THR or my second steroid shot. I only had one so far and it lasted me about 6 months. probably would’ve lasted me a bit longer but I fell on my hip when I was filming a video in the snow in Central Park. I’m rooting for you for a speedy and successful recovery!

Has my right hip replaced 7 days ago both hips are 100% bone on bone. Absolutely no pain I take 2 Tylenol every 6 hours only to manage pain for my spondylitis. Was the best decision I ever made. Went out Tuesday to the grocery store not cleared to drive yet. Used the walker for 2 days and transition to cane on Sunday no limp no pain never had to take any oxicotton. Can’t wait until left side is replaced in November
