@pollar.news: On 12 August, The Intercept and the Freedom of the Press Foundation sued the President over a service that sells his Truth Social posts, and nine other accounts, to paying customers sooner than the public gets them. It is called Truth API, on sale since 1 August. A paying customer's computer takes the posts straight from the platform. Everyone else waits for them to reach the ordinary feed. The list price is $100,000 a month, or $60,000 a month on a three-year commitment. The posts are public and free. What the money buys is arrival time. Truth API is designed, its launch release reads, for the organisations most affected by the cost of a delay in information: high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms. Markets already move on these posts, it adds. The feed carries Truth Social's ten most popular accounts. The complaint names eight, among them the President, the White House and the Vice President; it does not identify the other two. And the company selling the feed is the President's own. He owns the largest stake in it, roughly 41.43%, through a trust he alone benefits from. The suit does not ask the court to shut the service down, and Trump Media is not a defendant: it asks that the President stop posting official government information only where early access is for sale. No court has ruled on that. Trump Media answers that nothing here is secret, that customers get published, publicly available posts fractionally faster, and that licensing public data through commercial APIs is ordinary. On that last point it is right. How much sooner has never been put in a figure. In July: the fastest access, in milliseconds. In August: fractionally faster. A spokesperson: milliseconds sooner. Since everyone is asking whether this is legal or not, I’ll open up with a quote from Dear William Kunstler: Quote: “All tyrants have learned that it is far better to do this with some semblance of legality than to do it without that pretense.” End quote. Roll back a few months when Donald sat with the tech CEOs and made a deal: no more regulations on tech and AI. He was a sitting president and an owner and an investor in tech and AI. Truth Social was on that table. Now, when explained by tech, the argument would be this can’t be damned as insider trading “crime” cuz there is no crime, there are no regulations that specify selling first-feed idea on a person level, each one cutting a deal for his own and targeting specific ppl on that platform. So before he uses this vague legal cloud, he created it a few months ago by making “no more laws to regulate AI and Tech” A LAW. Is there a way to, like, reverse that or smth!? Well, that’s really complicated, first starting with who’s gonna sue!? Not because the other side is the White House, but on what basis are you gonna sue? Cuz as much as your common sense is telling you this is obvious insider trading, in a court it’s a type of service and access and product that platforms and tech companies can sell, and you don’t have regulations to flag what’s legal and what’s not. In terms of land, it’s a lawless one. Now, the “NO MORE LAW” Law, is that possible!? Well, it’s a de facto now, but how long is it gonna hold?! And how much irreversible damage is it gonna cause? But as far as I know about Americans, it’s not gonna last for more than the president’s mandate.

How is he even able to get away with this ? He has made an absolute fortune from becoming President. No wonder he's the only President not to take his salary, because he can make that in an hour from stocks, oil, precious metals, real estate and cryptocurrency. It's absolutely sickening. That he can make more in an hour than someone can make in their entire lifetime. Life is so rigged. No wonder the electorate has no faith and trust in anyone anymore.
