Use Pool RX from Amazon. It made taking care of my pool easy! I use to spend a bunch of money on chemicals before I started using it.

Holy shit do NOT listen to that, or people saying pool rx. We’ve never changed our water! All you need is liquid chlorine and good ass robot for the scrubbing. I have a 30k gallon inground pool, haven’t had to backwash all summer. Less is more!

We have a 20x40 pool and pay $135/month for full service. All we do is jump in and swim. Best time-saving investment we make.

So they tell you you're supposed to replace the water, but then say you need a bunch a chemicals? That makes no sense at all.

In 16 years the only time we changed the water completely was one time when we got a new liner . We did however change the sand in the filter every 2/3 years . Also we only added all the chemicals to open the pool . After that we maintained the rest of the season (April-end of sept beginning of aug) with shock , chlorine , baking soda and our water always tested good . I really think people are overselling and over thinking pool maintenance now a days .

Do a little research on the benefits of copper for keeping your pool clean and then get rid of the toxic chemicals

I’ve had a pool for years I never replace all my water. About the only time I could where you need to replace some of the water is if your cya was too high. Dilution is the only thing that will fix that. I’d be interested to see the water test.

You don’t need to change your water that’s all bullshit. Just test your water and keep the correct chemicals in it.

PH level needs to be between 7.4 and 7.6 with chlorine at 2.5 ppm —- your filter needs to be backwashed and rinsed once a week make sure the pressure gauge stays under 10 PSI if possible and and yes you need to scrub and vacuum every other day …..

That's why I would bever buy a house with a pool. That being said we have a HOA community pool and it is nothing but problems and upkeep. They've even talked about closing it down and filling in the hole.
