I moved to Maine and when people complain about traffic out here I tell them not to talk to me until they have lived through an I-5 commute. Boy i do not miss it

As a former flatbed hauler. The twist in the strap is intentional. It keeps the straps from slapping back and forth in the wind thus preventing damage to cargo or working themselves loose.

Help me here because I don't know.... are truck straps supposed to be twisted or not? I feel like no, because the weight of the load would be directed to a smaller area of distribution on the strap, but depending on the strap material, twisting might be advantageous? I need a trucker to set me straight here.
