She was combative yes but she was also a really good listener and gets is very quickly - I think she is too smart and even though she wants to sahm I believe working would be great for her to grasp her own life

One of my CEO client’s grandfather survived the Holocaust and then created a very successful textile business. He passed on a belief to his children & grandchildren that they are not safe unless they put everything in accumulating wealth. The family is in tatters and the CEO client got nothing from his grandpa despite the fact he was his „favourite”. The sense of betrayal and also that a rug can be swept away from under his feet is pervasive. He can’t rest, his mind works even when he sleeps, he suffers chronic pain and his own family is struggling too. Ancestral trauma is insidious as these people believe these are their values…

I feel this.. feeling anxious and guilty for not doing what my parents and grandparents did is so prevalent. We are not living the same world and are still expected to strive like they did.. and for what? It’s exhausting being in their presence sometimes
