I think its bc they dry it with an very used up towel. Or when the towel is already wet and they dry it with the wet towel

My parents used to have “posh” wine glasses they only used at Christmas. Every other 364 days of the year they stayed in a wooden cupboard in the dining room and smelt SO fooooosty 😩😩 when the wine was poured. Me and my sister took to washing them up every Christmas Eve morning just so we knew we wouldn’t gag when they got used 🤣🤣
