it has helped me a ton to go out for my agoraphobia. I treat it as a choice to go out rather than "I have to go out" and slowly over months of 2-3 times a week I can go shopping without a panic attack

legit question, have you tryed using headphones to help destract from the surroundings? it helps me and my sister abit. thats what gets me able to be on the porch. related note, do you also have like the grocery effect of it helps you not get unneeded stuff but you always end up forgetting some (alot in my case) needed stuff because youre in a rush to get back to safety of home?

Ugh I hate mine. I finally got a job with my husband though, it helps but some tasks are so hard to do. I try to leave my lab whenever I can. 🥲

My agoraphobia became so intense during and after lockdown, since then leaving the house has sent me into panic attacks and left me trembling and exhausted for days after it. I keep telling myself it'll get better if I do more things but that first step is terrifying and exhausting. I hope everyone with this can find ways to help and if anyone has any advice, please. 😭

Love you and your videos Lizzard! If you see this I just wanted to share something that’s helped me some. I’ve started accommodating myself on outings by making it as comfy as possible and getting a small treat when I’m out to reinforce. (A favorite drink etc) I bring my sunglasses, loop plugs or AirPods, bag with necessities, and wear comfy clothes.) Basically pavloving myself 😂

got a friend who has this, they had a lil doggo, only for letting them go wee, but it helps with that (plus they have other services to support when they need to try going out)
