capitalism as political policy doesn't work, and won't work, and has never worked. America is a prime example. what America needs is a socialist political policy with capitalism as it's economic policy. it's the only combination that has proven to not to destroy a country but has rebuilt several.

Yeah I gotta push back here. you're absolutely right. It's the accumulation of power that causes problems, not the system.. now let's look at the two systems. one of them thrives off the accumulation and concentration of power. The other one thrives when power is distributed amongst workers. it's like if your goal is to have a dog that just wants to be lazy and cuddly, you could get the english bulldog. It's well known for being lazy and cuddly. you could also get the siberian husky, well known for literally the exact opposite. you can absolutely leash and train the siberian hosky to do what you want, but it's nature will always be the opposite. so why would you go through the effort When there's an option that just does what you want naturally? and that's why people would ask, why capitalism. do we not want people to be fed, Sheltered, have energy, transportation, communication, healthcare, useful tech? capitalism will never get there, and it's going to require a whole lot of intervention to even make it look remotely close to this. and then there's the other option that literally exists to get these things into people's hands. capitalism is the absolute bat shit choice.
