@jerrasgarden: Prune mango trees after the harvest is finished to encourage healthy new growth and future fruit production. Remove dead, diseased, or crossing branches, open the center of the canopy for better airflow, and lightly trim branch tips to promote a bushier shape with more fruiting branches. After pruning, apply a mango-specific fertilizer that is lower in nitrogen and includes the phosphorus, potassium, and trace minerals needed for strong growth and better fruit retention.
