Hate it when people dismiss teenagers feelings, doesn't matter how old you are, when you're experiencing it, it's the biggest thing. I got together with my husband at 17 and we did 4 years long distance at uni, I HATE being apart from him.

Some people just can't fathom that others can feel differently about things. It might be that she's "just a teen" or it might be that she is just different than you and you're not taking her feelings seriously.
