No one came to save Lulu and she has been euthanized by the shelter..💔 Blastoise is STILL ALIVE but won’t be held by the shelter he’s in for much longer. He is extremely urgent! He has rescue interest that has kept him alive a few extra days, but this will not last much longer, if at all. A rescue will pull him if they can get a committed foster lined up first!! His picture doesn’t do him justice. when I first started walking him, he looked at me with those soulful eyes and I COUND NOT resist! I am shocked he has a deadline.” “It looks like there are TWO rescues willing to pull Blasty--they just need a foster. Blasty keeps a clean kennel and I never witnessed any behavior that he would not get along with other dogs. I realize this cannot be fully known but he did not show barrier reactivity or leash reactivity while in the shelter. Blastoise was with a good samaritan for 4 days prior to coming to the shelter, he noted that he met his small dog and did well/showed no interest. He is also house trained, has good recall, and loves to chew on a bunched-up blanket. Behavior notes say he had a completely different demeanor outside of the kennel. He was extremely playful, chasing balls and asking to be scratched all over. He wanted to give kisses on my chin and neck and had fairly decent leash manners.
