FYI, for any family member that is reporting this shit to the news yeah you probably just made it to where they’re going to put regulations on phones now or stricter regulations. It can even be possible if this keeps getting out of hand that they will take the phones from every sailor. So keep it up because that’s exactly what I think needs to happen. This makes us look incredibly weak. This type of stuff doesn’t need to be leaked out to the public. This type of stuff doesn’t need to be heard to our enemies. You gotta think from our enemies perspective and how much it will give them the more will to fight. Especially if they have a time designation for how long each ship can stay. If they’re like oh after six months, they start losing their sanity. OK you people seriously don’t think this shit out you put your own family in danger without even thinking. I’ve always been against phones during deployment I’m so glad I’m retired because I wouldn’t be able to put up with the phone bullshit during deployment.

US CENTCOM: responded to the alleged reports coming out about the USS Abraham Lincoln:
"O
CLAIM: Over the past 48 hours, multiple media outlets have reported several false claims related to USS Abraham Lincoln's (CVN 72) deployment to the Middle East. One report alleged seven Sailors died in a brawl aboard the aircraft carrier and others have recently suggested a spike in suicidal ideations. These reports are FALSE.
FACT: USS Abraham Lincoln has maintained
among the highest crew reenlistment rates (84.4%) of all aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy. The Sailors and Marines of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group remain resilient and resolved after more than 260 days at sea, 10,000 aircraft flights, and 1.5 million pounds of ordnance expended. No service members aboard the aircraft carrier have died, and the one Sailor who fell overboard Aug. 3 was quickly and safely recovered. The rampant misreporting on Abraham Lincoln's historic deployment is a disservice to our men and women in uniform and their loved ones."

The USS Hornet CV12 during WW2 went 495 consecutive days at sea without returning to port, relying instead on at-sea replenishment, different generation I would say.

Because all of their consumable supplies are sitting here and the leadership of the MEU sucks so bad they’re prioritizing parts over ship stores. So many pallets of hygiene and food/drinks were combat loss due to sitting in the heat.

All of those issues are common complaints even on a 6 month cruise. At least it was for our ship back in 2000. Sounds like a typical US Navy cruise 🤷♂️

Some of the things they are allegedly complaining about doesn’t make sense at all. They’re a nuclear powered ship with desalination for clean drinking water, they wouldn’t run out. If the showers are moldy, clean them. Lack of hot water is also crazy to complain about, but again a nuclear powered ship doesn’t just run out of power to heat the water so if they’re is no hot water it’s a different problem and then just suck it up? Cold showers are good for you anyway

Transfer everyone on board the ship to the Army or Marine Corps. Send them on an extended 18 month (Army) or 12 month (Marine) combat tour like early GWOT services members faced, no harden facilities, and conducting combat operations on a daily basis, while taking sporadic mortar and rocket fire on the FOBS! They will be begging to go back to the aircraft carrier!
