Because it’s their way of bringing back Ironman… there will be some multiverse interplay and at some point Ironman will fight Doom and it will be epic! If they don’t it will be a colossal failure and a total waste.

I'm a firm believer that the og tony is a victor von doom variant, and a doom from a different universe dream walks into dead Tony's body(this explains the scars on his face) additionally they 4 witches on doom are the same colours as witches we have already seen that are able to dream walk ( Wanda,Agatha, lady death, strange)

My theory is Doom is going to be a variant of Tony Stark who *doesn't* die after snapping Thanos. Maybe in that universe he's even friends with the Fantastic Four. I could totally see Tony being Reed Richards' college roommate and after surviving the snap with the Infinity Gauntlet, something changes that eventually leads him to become Doctor Doom.
