My husband and I were detained because a cashier didn’t scan all our stuff. The charges were dropped in court because our lawyer subpoenaed the video footage of the fact that we put all our stuff on the belt, the cashier scanned and bagged our stuff. It’s not my responsibility to make sure she does her job properly!

A lot of people don’t know this, but if you get wrongly accused of stealing from Walmart and they take you back in that surveillance room and find that you in fact we’re not stealing they are supposed to pay you $25,000 so follow up on that! It’s a penalty against Walmart for falsely accusing shoppers.
