It makes absolutely no sense that he made no attempt to look for his kids in that moment except unless he already knew they weren’t still alive!

Not only that. He came home and after calling out to them, opened the basement door,called down, didn't get an answer so he goes upstairs. Checks every room then goes to their bedroom. Finds the scene, sees the window, doesn't look out the window, doesn't go to check the basement but goes outside!? Then she tells him she tried to kill herself and kids are in the basement. He calls 911 and "can't get through right aways". When he finally does the dispatch tells him to put pressure on her wounds if needed. He doesnt because he said it didn't look like it was bleeding anymore. only when the first responders arrive does he go in the basement! I would have taken off to that basement as soon as I saw her outside and she told me they are in the basement, while also calling 911. One of the first responders said that they didn't know about the kids so they had to call for backup. So what did he tell the 911 dispatcher, just that Lindsay was outside and didn't mention the kids ?

The confusion about the EMT saying he saw him sitting on the couch has been exploited by social media. The EMT who said that was the fourth EMT into the basement, after the other EMTs had pushed Patrick aside to take over CPR. It can be easy, from the comfort of our homes, to second guess every action someone takes in the middle of an emergency situation. People do not always do exactly what we assume they would do. Patrick saw that no one was in the room and rushed outside to see if she had jumped. I do not think that is particularly suspicious or unusual.
