When the Adhan Echoed Through Masjid al-Haram 🤍 This historic footage preserves a beautiful moment from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, capturing the Adhan as it was heard in an earlier era. The surroundings of the Sacred Mosque have transformed greatly over the generations, but the words of the Adhan continue to call Muslims to the same purpose: the worship of Allah and the establishment of prayer. حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ، حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ “Come to prayer. Come to success.” For Muslims around the world, hearing the Adhan from Masjid al-Haram carries a special emotional connection to the Kaaba, the Qiblah toward which Muslims turn in prayer. Footage like this offers more than a glimpse into the past. It reminds us that generations come and go, cities develop, and landscapes change, while the call to worship Allah continues. 🤲 May Allah grant us the opportunity to hear the Adhan in Makkah and Madinah, pray in the Two Holy Mosques, and return to His Sacred House again and again. Ameen. 🤍 A timeless call. A sacred place. A reminder that continues through generations.
