men, im making $50/hour at 18 and i graduated high school less than 2 months ago. if you dont like school/college do what i did. find out which trade you want to do, some require education and some dont. Once you have that figured out. go and get your OSHA10 or OSHA30. try your hardest to get into a local union ( optional but the best route ) or apply to contracting groups that align with the trade you want to pursue IN PERSON. Drive to wherever their closest office, show face and apply. a lot of older men are retiring and they may be looking for more people. especially younger dudes, we’ll always outwork the older guys 10/10. if you get accepted/hired and the trade you chose doesnt require education watch videos on youtube or learn a little bit about the trade so when you first get on the jobsite so you dont arent completely lost. Nobody expects the new guy to know everything right away but it helps to have some knowledge. Once you do get on the job site. Work harder than everyone else. help out wherever you can. You just got there , make a good impression. Have fun too and build relationships. That’s how you’ll secure your spot. we’re young, dont feel like you’re “cooked” just because have nothing going for yourself at the MOMENT. greater things coming your way. go get it.

Don’t take the gap year it will make u feel comfortable with not doing anything and tbh u still have not worked. For anything to want take a gap year like if u was working for a couple years now since u was like 15 at least im 17 now I’ve been working since I was 14 and im alr about to start a business and I daytrade also so yall gata lock in do anything but take a gap year
