@violetlisette: Aloe Vera "Keratin" Hair Mask 🌿✨ Everyone always asks me if I got a keratin treatment after I use this mask... 😂🤍 Nope! This isn't an actual keratin treatment, but it leaves my hair looking so smooth, soft, and shiny that people always think I had one. How to make it: ✨ ½ aloe vera leaf (gel only) ✨ 3 tbsp flaxseeds ✨ 1½–2 cups water ✨ 2 tbsp jojoba oil ✨ 1 tsp grapeseed oil 🌿 The night before: I leave my aloe vera leaf standing in a cup of water overnight to help drain the yellow latex before using it. 🌱 Add the flaxseeds and water to a pot and simmer over medium heat until a gel forms (about 8–10 minutes). ✨ Strain the flaxseed gel while it's still warm. 🤍 Blend the flaxseed gel, aloe vera gel, jojoba oil, and grapeseed oil until well combined. Why I love these ingredients: 🖤 Aloe Vera: Helps hydrate the hair, adds slip for easier detangling, and leaves the hair feeling softer and shinier. 🖤 Flaxseed Gel: Helps smooth the hair cuticle, reduce the appearance of frizz, improve softness, and boost shine. 🖤 Jojoba Oil: A lightweight oil that helps soften the hair, lock in moisture, and add shine without weighing it down. 🖤 Grapeseed Oil: Helps seal in moisture, smooth the hair, and enhance shine. How to use: ✨ Apply to damp hair from roots to ends. ✨ Leave on for 30–45 minutes. ✨ Shampoo thoroughly (I like to shampoo twice), then follow with conditioner and style as usual.
