@rebuildingwithzaina: I thought I had already built my life. Then life changed. At 44, I’m rebuilding my finances, my career, my habits and ultimately, my future. I don’t know exactly what the finish line will look like yet, and that’s the point. I’m documenting the rebuild while I’m still in it. 🤍 If you’re starting over too, you’re in the right place. #RebuildingMyLife #StartingOverAt40 #FinancialComeback #TikTokCreatorSearchInsightsIncentive #resetmyself

I’m in the same situation like you . I don’t wish any child of God to have this same experience getting rich and run down poor to the level you can’t even afford your house rent

I just turned 50, left my career as a preschool teacher and trying to rebuild by driving for Lyft and uber as I work on my YouTube channel. Following your journey has been motivating for me 🥰

I swear nighttime anxiety after having a baby needs to be talked about more because WHY does everything feel 10x scarier at 3am?? 😭 During the day I can usually talk myself down. Baby ate less than usual? Probably fine. Baby made a weird noise? Babies make weird noises. Baby woke up 20 minutes after I put her down? Annoying, but whatever 😂 Then 2:57am rolls around and suddenly my brain is like: Is she eating enough?? Should she be sleeping longer by now? Why is she breathing like that? Was that sound normal? Is she too hot? Too cold? When was her last wet diaper? Should I Google this??? And obviously the answer to that last one should ALWAYS be no because nothing good has ever happened from a postpartum mom googling symptoms at 3am 😭😂 But one night I was sitting in the nursery feeding her and I could feel that anxious feeling starting again. You know the one. Your chest feels tight. Your mind is racing. You’re exhausted but somehow also completely alert. My husband was asleep. The house was dark. Nobody was texting me. Nobody was posting. It genuinely felt like the entire world had gone to sleep except me and this tiny person who apparently wanted to have a full meal in the middle of the night 🫠 I picked up my phone mostly because I needed something to look at besides the clock. And I opened this map I had found that shows moms who are awake. There were 831 moms on it. EIGHT HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE. At basically 3 in the morning. 🥹 I just sat there staring at all the little lights. One was another mom feeding her baby. One was probably pumping while half asleep. One might’ve been rocking a baby who refused to be put down. One was probably changing a diaper while questioning every life decision that led to being awake at this hour 😂 Somebody else was warming a bottle. Somebody was doing laps around her living room. Somebody was sitting exactly like me, phone in one hand, baby in the other, trying desperately not to fall asleep. And something in my brain just…settled. Not completely. My baby didn’t magically sleep through the night. I didn’t suddenly feel rested. Nothing about my actual situation changed. But I wasn’t the only one anymore. ❤️ That’s the part I didn’t realize I needed. Because everyone tells you having a newborn is exhausting. They tell you you’ll be up all night. They joke about never sleeping again. But nobody really explains how LONELY those hours can feel. You can literally be holding the person you love more than anything in the world and still feel unbelievably alone. That’s such a weird part of motherhood. You’re technically never alone anymore…and somehow you’ve never felt more alone. 🥺 Seeing hundreds of those lights made me picture all these moms scattered around the country doing the exact same night shift. Messy hair. Milk-stained shirt. One eye barely open. Phone brightness turned all the way down 😂 Trying not to wake their partner. Praying the baby stays asleep during the transfer. Calculating, “okay if I fall asleep in the next 6 minutes I can maybe get 2 hours” 😭 Just surviving the night together without even knowing each other. And idk. There was something really comforting about that. I think sometimes when I’m anxious I don’t actually need someone to tell me everything is okay. I don’t need another article. I don’t need someone explaining wake windows to me 😂 Sometimes I just need another mom to basically say: “Yep. I’m awake too.” That’s it. That’s the whole thing. And somehow that’s enough to make 3am feel a little less heavy. So if you’re reading this during tonight’s shift with a baby attached to you, a pump going, a bottle warming, or you’re just sitting there wondering why your baby WILL NOT SLEEP… there are a lot of us awake with you. 🥹❤️ Like…a lot. And for some reason knowing that makes the night feel a little smaller. #mom #baby #MomsofTikTok #momtok #momlife
