@outdoor.happiness: Out at 1 a.m. in Peel with the new Canon EOS R5 📸🌌 — and what a camera! Tonight’s subject was the beautiful Fenella, standing above Fenella Beach as the Milky Way drifted across the Manx night sky. Fenella is inspired by the character from Sir Walter Scott’s 1823 novel Peveril of the Peak, which is set around Peel Castle. The statue overlooks Fenella Beach, a small sheltered cove tucked beneath the dramatic walls of Peel Castle. There was something pretty special about standing there in the early hours, with hardly a soul around, watching the stars above Peel and capturing the Milky Way passing over Fenella. 🌠 Absolutely loving the Canon EOS R5 far — the detail it pulls out of a night sky is incredible. Finished off with a little editing in Snapseed and Lightroom to bring out the warmth, stars and colours without taking away from the natural feel of the scene.
