@katie.ann29: There’s something people don’t always understand about the journey to becoming parents when you’re struggling with infertility. ❤️ For some couples, starting a family means simply deciding they’re ready, trying for a baby, and watching their dream come true. But for others, becoming parents can come with a price tag that feels impossible to reach. Adoption can cost thousands upon thousands of dollars. Surrogacy can cost tens of thousands sometimes well over $100,000. IVF can also cost thousands per cycle, often without any guarantee that it will work. And when you’re a husband and wife who love each other deeply, who work hard, and who are already living paycheck to paycheck in an economy where everything seems to cost more every day… there simply isn’t extra money sitting around to put toward building a family. 💔 It’s not because we don’t want it badly enough. It’s not because we aren’t willing to work for it. And it certainly isn’t because we wouldn’t make incredible parents. Sometimes, you can work as hard as you possibly can and still find yourself priced out of the very thing your heart wants most. We don’t dream of a fancy life. We dream of little footsteps in our home. Toys scattered across the floor. Bedtime stories. School pictures. Christmas mornings. A little hand reaching for ours. A child who knows, without a doubt, that they are deeply loved. We simply want the opportunity to become Mom and Dad. ❤️ Infertility can make you feel like the dream of having a family belongs to everyone except you. And when the paths available to you all come with enormous financial barriers, it can be heartbreaking. But we’re still holding onto hope. We believe that somehow, someday, the right door will open. We believe that our family is worth fighting for, even when the road to get there feels impossibly long. So if you’re someone who has walked this road, understands infertility, adoption, IVF, surrogacy, or simply understands what it feels like to desperately want something that feels financially out of reach please know you’re not alone. ❤️ We may not have the money to make our dream happen overnight, but we have an enormous amount of love waiting for the child who will one day call us Mom and Dad. And we’re not giving up on that dream. 🥹❤️
