Have you seen the study that wearing a CPAP makes a person look 6 years younger after their sleep apnea is resolved? Well rested and younger looking. Yes, please! I love my CPAP. It's a cozy little place to be.

It’s because it’s often correlated with fatness (even though thin people get apnea too). Lots of people still feel confident in their fatphobia even when they’ve addressed other biases.

I just started mine 😭 and after 30 min of ramp as im falling asleep once it reached my perscribed pressure I rip the mask off .. it feels like I forget to breathe with it on and have to remind myself to breathe .. but it’s only whe. I have the machine on … :( I’m having a tough time and That’s because I went for a titration study so it’s supposed to be the best pressure for me.. I haven’t been able to aclimate 😭

I wish my husband would get used to his. thankfully he doesn't have a bad case of it. but as a USMC Veteran he said it ramps up his PTSD because he feels like he's wearing his gas mask all over again. it breaks my heart to hear him say that and it totally makes sense. I wish the VA would look into this more.

You know that by using a CPAP machine, you're taking care of your health. That person may suffer from sleep apnea and not know it. I was told that some people don't find out they have sleep apnea until it's too late. I admire the people who are here sharing their experiences with sleep apnea.

I admire you for sharing your experience. My husband and I found out too late we have sleep apnea and only because I insisted on a sleep study because we were always tired. We used to joke he had an on and off switch at the back of his head. Now he also has Afib caused by the apnea. Continue sharing this and bring awareness. I pity people like the one who commented.

I am a cpap user and I could not care less what people say as the benifits I get by far outweighs the Mickey taking sticks and stones comes to mind

When I found out my AHI was 29, I have no cares in the world about having a cpap. That is keeping me from a potential stroke or heart attack. Bonus not waking up to go to the bathroom 7654357 times a night. Preach it!

Whats good about it that apart of your bed partner no one in daily life will ever know or see you are wearing it at night, there are people that you can talk about it and people that dont understand it dont have to know it🤗
