from a legal standpoint...sure but from a human to human interaction saying "yeah...I was speeding when I shouldnt be. I know better" might get you out of a ticket instead of pretending you have no clue

A wold of advice, the cop already knows you were speeding or whatever. If your not drunk, don't have drugs or a dead body in the trunk, if acknowledge the offense and are polite, you may get just a warning

I always say “yes, I was flying back there”. Do I know how fast I was going? Yes 82 in a 70. What’s my rush? Nothing, no rush, I just wasn’t paying attention, I was jamming to some AC/DC and wasn’t paying attention. I saw you, looked at my speedometer and slowed down. My mistake. Last 5 times I’ve just been honest and I’ve been let go with a warning.

I have always said yes, I was speeding, I didn’t come to a complete stop at the stop sign, etc and I have always gotten a warning, never a ticket. Arguing or lying is a guaranteed ticket

I said I had no idea once. Twenty minutes later there were 3 more police cars behind me. I stuck my head out the window and asked if someone could tell me what was going on. The cop eventually told me I crossed the center line a mile and a half back on a curve with no lane paint. Turns out the cop was just stupid and couldn't find a reason to arrest me. He seemed really angry I wasn't driving drunk and the lack of a center line made the "crossing the center line" a ridiculous reason to pull me over. He pulled 3 cars off patrol because he thought I was going to fight him.
