Friend, I work in oncology. You need to report that nurse, she purposely put the bevel down to cause you pain. She was most likely irritated that you were telling her “how to do her job”. That nurse needs to be fired. If you look closely she literally stops, thinks about it, and flips the needle. 💉

Hi, phlebotomist here. You NEVER ever go bevel down with any needle. This was intentional and you have video proof. Report the now this behavior is disgusting and her speaking disrespectfully to you is inhumane. It is cancer treatment, a large gauge needle and you made a simple request for your own comfort level. Disgusting, I am disgusted.

PLEASE listen to the comments and call your doctor to find out the name of the person administering your medication and report. And if needed send both videos as proof. Her reaction was inappropriate ENTIRELY. And it sounded like she was starting to say “that’s why…” there’s no explanation for you inserting a needle that large INCORRECTLY. Please report this! There’s no repercussions on you if nothing comes from it!
