I do think she shouldn’t have said it that way, and it def was micro aggression- but I saw her apology video too- it looks like she was genuinely sorry and is going to be more careful with her words from now on

I had a white coworker/friend who during a discussion of the n word said she thought that word was funny to her, said she wasn't going to say it, but then acted like she was about to. Mind u this discussion was happening amongst a group of other white people and were side eying her and ready to call her out if she did. They didn't find the word funny at all. I went to the only other black girl that i worked with and asked her if i was tripping and she said i wasnt. But later in the year it all came up and she confronted her and the white coworker came to me and was like "u think im racist?! i could never think of being that way. I cry during disney movies!!". I felt like i was tripping cuz her and the other black coworker were friendly afterwards and I didn't talk to her again after that. Never sat right with me. I think people easily fell for her super bubbly personality and infantiized her a lot. 🤷🏽♀️
