When specific ingredients were asked about, Raising Cane's confirmed soybean oil in their chicken fingers, fries, Cane's sauce, honey mustard, sandwich bun, and toast. They also confirmed TBHQ — a preservative derived from butane, banned in Japan and restricted across Europe — in their fried items including chicken fingers and fries. Burger King hid its ingredients for years and was pressured into publishing them — the internet found 120 ingredients in a single chicken sandwich. McDonald's, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Chick-fil-A all publish full ingredient lists publicly. Raising Cane's still refuses. They use fresh chicken. They hand-batter in store. They cook to order.
