As a technician at a dealership, anyone who says you need, snap on, Mac, Matco tools they are lying. I use mainly icon for ratchets and husky for sockets cause of lifetime warranty and not a single one has broken on me yet and I beat on them every day. Buy what makes you happy man and don’t listen to people, there will always be someone trying to bring you down

“A cheap toolbox full of expensive tools is better and a bigger flex then a expensive toolbox filled with cheap tools” someone told me once

Hell yeah man, one thing I’ll say (and no, I don’t have any yet) I wouldn’t cheap out on chrome sockets, but impact sockets I personally got a cheap ass VEVOR set and they work just fine. Cheap wrenches and ratchets are the way to go unless you want the brand rep from things like snap on. And the Yukon box is good for a first set, I was lucky getting this for 800 used

Quinn is a phenomenal starter set. Lifetime warranty. Icon is only worth when it’s on sale.

Everyone starts off somewhere…I started off when I was apprenticing with a set of Husky sockets, wrenches and pliers in a hand carrier tool box from Home Depot. 24 years later working on heavy duty class 8 diesel trucks, I own a good portion of the Snap On catalog.
