They’re not being arrested. If you don’t ride the subway every day you don’t understand. Just because the train is empty at the moment doesn’t mean it won’t get full at the next stop. You can’t sleep & take up 5 seats. I thought the officers handled the situation very well.

Leave them alone!! I had a cop threaten to cuff me for having my legs up- I have leg muscle issues and it was 1 am on a Sunday . Train was almost empty . They do this now for their quotas - they stop the whole train while it’s late and people are trying to get home for this shit . Not people actually doing crime

You dont get arrested for putting your feet up on the seat, that just isnt a thing, you did something if youre getting arrested and no, youre not gonna just disappear if youre homeless, theyre not doing any of that🤦♂️

Good job, officers. People should be able to ride the trains without dealing with threatening outbursts, disruptive behavior, or overwhelming odors. There are services available, and commuters shouldn't have to sacrifice their safety and comfort.
