Did the plumbing quote include the drainage installed. And did you pay that quote. If so I’d be asking for a refund from him. At least it can offset the cost of redrawing the plans.

Me ‘why are you pouring foundations for a pillar in the middle of the driveway?’ Builder ‘it’s not, THIS is the driveway’ me ‘no it’s not, THIS is the landing, THAT is the driveway’ builder to workman ‘go check the plans’ workman ‘she’s right we are trying to pour a pillar in the driveway’ 😏

Do you have fair trading in Queensland? You can also contact Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) about building inspections, defective work, or building certifiers. If the issue cannot be resolved through them, you may take the matter further to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT)

Legit had similar issues when they were building our house, we drove by when they had just finished laying the bricks and it seemed that they just decided weren’t getting a window in the front room, like the only window was just not there! We called the builder and he argued saying no no there’s a window, we had to say we were standing at the house and there’s no freaking window- the brickies were pissed cause they had to pull it down and start over as there absolutely should have been a window 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

its not as per plans thats up to the tradie to fix it. if theyre not willing to fix it you have a case. if they aren't prepared to fix it and the drain isnt actually required by code then have them pay to have the plans redrawn

Hopefully Hayden has a contract. But Contact QBCC they should be able to rectify it. They are really good at getting things done, QCAT if it needs to go further and if you have all your ducks in a row they aren’t useless. Hope it gets sorted soon

we had extensions done in the 90s and my mum was in the backyard looking up - that wall isn't straight - the builder didn't believe her. she told him to get another spirit level. he did. she was right. it was over an inch out.

You can scatter the batch numbers around the bathroom if you can't get all the same. Of course same batch number is recommended, but sometimes not achievable and scattering can help absorb the problem throughout the bathroom.
