Everyone seems to not understand that the cost of living has far exceeded the wages! That is the issue! My husband and I bought a house w our first child in 1994 on $17/hr our house payment was $1300. The same house would now cost $5500/month

So I did the math yesterday. In 1965 one MINIMUM WAGE paycheck could pay for an AVERAGE rent with money left over. One single paycheck, minimum wage, on and average rental, with money left over from that paycheck on minimum wage

Entry level jobs here are 16-18 and rent avg is 2k+ a month in my area and it sucks. I hate existing in this trap of a system every day.

Get a reliable roommate. I wanted to move out two years ago but these prices are high af… I’m still living with my mom even though I’m 32 years old. I don’t feel ashamed about it. We love each other thanks GOD.
