FND should never be diagnosed without thoroughly testing for every other possible explanation. This isn’t an attack on FND itself, but the way drs hand out diagnoses for it like candy and the way they treat it as an excuse to fob you off to psych, I would resist an FND dx until they’ve tested for absolutely everything else.

This happens to me regularly. For two years I couldn’t move my arm above a certain point and then intermittently I lose complete use of it. Wanna no what neuro rehab says. Just tap ur hand to distract ur brain. I can’t move it so can’t tap it doctor. Oh do breathing exercises. Honestly the treatment for fnd is a joke
