This unfortunately does not make it any easier for me. It’s still just a ton of memorizing because you still need to know the gender which is the really hard part.

warum verschluckst du die Endungen in den Plural Beispielen? das klingt übertrieben. wir verschlucken die "e"s da nur ein kleines bisschen.

Der Junge plural is Die Jungs tho, Die Jungen is the young (people) atleast where im from, Die Jungen sounds incredibly unnatural

Ok. Help me out. I've lived in Germany for 47 years, I speak fluent German without an accent. BUT I still can't hear if its: ich fahre jetzt auf die Autobahn oder auf der Autobahn. Oder: ich wasche meine Haare über die Badewanne oder der Badewanne? I don't know why this stays my only problem but it annoys me. I came to Germany when I was 13 so I didn't learn the grammer from the beginning on.

But what if I don’t wanna do this mental math and just have it naturally come to me? Like in Arabic for example, gendering and plural is so natural to me that I didn’t even realize we had gendered nouns because I literally just did it automatically. Is it possible to reach that level?

Ist es nicht interessant, dass Deutsche diese Regeln kennen, obwohl sie ihnen überhaupt nicht bewusst sind. Das kann man daran feststellen, dass man für ein nicht vorhandenes Fake-Wort zum Beispiel auch den Plural bilden könnte. Wir kennen also die Regeln, aber wir können sie nicht formulieren.
