ARAKAN AMAL is a Refugee community-led initiative built around service, responsibility, cleanliness, and positive change. Our goal is not only to help people, but also to build a stronger, cleaner, more responsible, and more respectful community wherever we live. A major part of our work is community and environmental clean-up. We organize and encourage volunteers to clean public spaces, neighborhoods, parks, streets, and shared areas. At the same time, we educate and encourage members of the refugee community, especially young people and families, to understand the importance of keeping their surroundings clean, disposing of waste properly, protecting public spaces, and respecting the local environment. For us, cleanliness is more than simply picking up trash. It is about building a culture of responsibility. We want our community to understand that when we live in a new place, we have a responsibility to take care of it, respect our neighbors, follow local rules, and contribute positively to the community around us. Through volunteering, educational activities, environmental projects, community service, clean-up campaigns, water and sanitation initiatives, and other humanitarian efforts, Arakan Amal encourages people to take action rather than simply wait for others to make a difference. We believe refugees and newcomers can be good neighbors, responsible community members, and positive contributors to the places they call home. With Arakan Amal.. WE, Do Good. Be Good. Serve. Respect. Make a Difference. Love, Arakan Amal Team 👑 - @arakanamal
