@cinemaoccupy: In May 2016, Anthony Bourdain invited President Barack Obama to dinner at Bún Chả Hương Liên, a family run shop on Le Van Huu Street in Hanoi's Hai Ba Trung District. They sat on low plastic stools at a steel table, ate grilled pork and rice noodles, and drank Hanoi beer from the bottle. There was no entourage and no private room. The total bill was $6 and Bourdain paid it. The dinner aired as the season eight premiere of Parts Unknown on September 25, 2016. In this stretch of the conversation Obama describes the best meal he can remember, at a roadside restaurant in Puncak, in the mountains between Jakarta and Bandung, where carp swam through a channel running under the tables and were fried to order. The restaurant in Hanoi later sealed the table, stools, plates and beer bottles inside a glass case. Bourdain posted a photo of it and said he was not sure how he felt about that. Cokomo :

RIP Anthony Bourdain. You would have loved Zorhan Mandani

Witt Matthews :

I miss them both. Yes I understand Obama is still alive and well. I miss what he represented in American politics. He was so decent as our President. Tony, I just missed because he’s Tony. And his voice. And his copy. In the way he wrote and how he spoke. Will always be missed.
