This was very much needed for Lars development as much as I hate to say it. Seeing that everyone preferred his “Steven” personality over his own really showed that he needed to change himself. (He was kind of a jerk to his parents, tried wayyy to hard to impress and befriend the cool kids, and constantly used Sadie to get out of work. He wasn’t the worst guy on the planet but- yea he definitely needed to see that.

i think sadie was also someone who cared about lars. sadie was the only one who called steven out (rightfully so), besides lars. she’s also the only one who realized how different he was being and actually liked lars for who he was despite his actions
