Teachers can do amazing things still. We still have the most important job in the world- even if we aren’t treated like it. To be a teacher today means you are on the front lines in more ways than just one. We have become warriors and in a sense we’re treated like it. But we can’t be warriors and feel helpless, hopeless, and alone. We must stick together, we must keep believing in each other, we must feel strong and confident in who are and what we stand for. At the end of the day, after all is said and done for education -> what do you want to be remembered for? Teachers are no longer focused on getting kids to read, we’re fighting for basic rights, equity and morals. We’re fighting for a model that puts people over profit. Teachers are angry-> good. Keep that anger, use it, join a community and start organizing. Let that community breathe life into you. What schools are teaching teachers is decades old research. It is on us, yet again to demand better. It’s time that we actually stand up and scream about it. Challenge everyone, email HR, stand up in that PD and question. Districts must change and it will be us, the teachers who are left standing amongst the rubble, that will change them. To learn more about TTR’s community The Neighborhood read 👇 - 10.99 a month all inclusive - Fres memberships for volunteers (2-3 hours a month) - collaborative resource creation - weekly coaching - 9 workshops every month - full library - research requests Get the NEIGHBORHOOD (🔗👉bio) to get the link and welcome to the revolution. #teachershare #teachertraining #teachersfollowteachers #teachersoftiktok #teacherssupportingteachers
