I know usually significant areas of failed laquer means panel repaint but a very small section that can’t be seen too much - is there any chance these can be fixed via smart repair??

Nice job but you really need to wear RPE when sanding/grinding. I have seen so many people crying when they have a diagnosis of silicosis, COPD and worse.

I would rather your a replacement like ferrorzinc then just an inhubuter ferrorzince will eat and replace the rust.an inhibitor will just seal that area any microscopic rust will carry on growing.

I’ve used por 15 paint for hard to remove rust, it works permanently, recommend using on classic cars 👍

Why not just blend color on the primed area and clear the whole door by painting color over the entire door will interfere with the color
