Un uomo che prende una testa di un morto, la solleva come fosse un oggetto sacro, la inserisce dentro una statua fatta da mani umane… è una scena che rattrista profondamente il Creatore. Geova non ha mai chiesto questo. Non lo ha mai menzionato. Non lo ha mai approvato. Nelle Scritture, Dio parla con una chiarezza che non lascia spazio a interpretazioni: “Non ti farai nessuna immagine scolpita… non ti inchinerai davanti a esse.” (Esodo 20:4‑5) E ancora: “I morti non lodano Geova.” (Salmo 115:17) Come può allora un cranio umano diventare un oggetto di venerazione? Come può una statua diventare un contenitore di ciò che Dio considera polvere che ritorna alla terra? Queste pratiche non avvicinano a Dio. Lo allontanano.
