We grieve with tears in our eyes, but hope in our hearts. Because death may have taken your hand out of mine, but it did not take you out of God’s hands. One day, I won’t have to wonder what Heaven is like. One day, I’ll see. One day, the ache of missing you will become the joy of finding you again. And until then… I’ll keep loving you from this side of eternity. I’ll keep carrying your memory. I’ll keep thanking God for the years, the moments, the laughter, the conversations, the ordinary days I didn’t realize were precious at the time. And I’ll keep reminding myself: You aren’t lost. You’re found. You aren’t gone forever. You’re just ahead of me. So, if Heaven is everything Jesus promised it would be… If you’re standing in the presence of the One we’ve spent our lives believing in… If you can finally see the face of Jesus… Then maybe when I miss you the most, I shouldn’t only say, “I wish you were here.” Maybe I can whisper, “I’m so glad you’re there.” Because someday… when my race is finished, when my time here is done, when Jesus calls me home too… I won’t have to ask where you are. I’ll see you. And more importantly… I’ll see Him. The One who made Heaven home. Until then, I’ll miss you. But I’ll miss you with hope.
