@hasna_santi_: Bandung has been giving me a different perspective on coffee. Today I visited Bludors Bandung, located inside an old building that has been adapted into a modern coffee space. I really enjoyed how the character of the old building is still present while the coffee bar feels contemporary and well curated. Coming from Yogyakarta, I noticed that the atmosphere here feels quite different. The people, the pace, the space, and the overall way of enjoying coffee gave me an experience I do not usually get in Jogja. And honestly, I enjoyed that difference. I tried three beans from TTKR: Mekarwangi, Ethiopia, and Semendo. Bludors does not focus on espresso based drinks such as magic or dirty. Their espresso menu is more centered around milk based coffee, so I spent more time exploring their manual brew selection instead. The manual brew setup was proper, with Hario drippers, servers, and other brewing equipment. As someone who enjoys paying attention to the brewing process, I appreciated that part of the experience. Out of the three coffees, Mekarwangi was definitely my favourite. It was incredibly delicate, with a very tea like body. The acidity and sweetness were both present but neither dominated the cup. The acidity felt gentle, while the sweetness reminded me of light corn sugar. Brewed Japanese style, it became clean, light, and very easy to drink. Coming from Yogyakarta, I found the pricing relatively high compared with what I am used to. But I also think coffee experiences should not always be reduced to price or value. Sometimes, visiting another city is simply about experiencing how people there drink coffee, build spaces, interact with each other, and create their own coffee culture. That was probably my favourite part of this visit. A different city, different people, different atmosphere, and different coffee.
