I thought I wouldn’t be gone for long. You know how it is with children—you just assume they’re safe because they’re sleeping. 😔 But while I was away, my baby woke up and realized there was nobody around. He started reaching for things around him, probably trying to play with them or put them in his mouth. At some point, he pulled the bedsheet over his face. By the time I returned from the salon, I realized something terrible had happened. 😭 My baby was no longer responding. I have been completely broken since then. I can’t even explain how I feel. The worst part is that my husband is away for work and won’t be back for another three days. So far, I have only told my mother. She suggested that I should travel to my husband’s family and let them know first, so they can help inform him if I’m unable to do it myself. But I keep asking myself… Should I wait until my husband comes back before telling him, or should I call him and tell him what happened? I know leaving my baby alone was a mistake, and I will regret it for the rest of my life. 😭 Please, what would you do if you were in my shoes?
