@carpool_korea: Explanation below👇 Heated seats have thin electrical wires stitched directly under the seat fabric or leather. They're spread evenly across the seat to warm it uniformly — not to survive concentrated pressure. Kneeling, leaning, or pressing with your elbow puts all your weight on one small point instead of spreading it out. That's enough force to bend, crush, or snap the wire underneath. If the wire is damaged, the heating function can simply stop working — even though the seat looks completely fine from the outside. In some cases, a damaged wire can short-circuit. If that happens near flammable interior materials, it becomes an actual fire risk, not just a broken feature. Sharp, concentrated pressure also damages the seat material itself. Leather and leatherette can stretch, crease, or crack at the pressure point, and stitching along seams can loosen or tear over time — long before the leather would naturally wear out. That's why you never put sharp body parts — knees, elbows, knuckles — on a car seat. Sit on it the way it's designed to be sat on: with your full weight spread evenly across the surface. Save this for later🔥
