This one really struck a cord. My dog’s death affected me more than that of my sister or parents - all of whom I loved dearly. My dog slept in my bed and was my constant companion. We were together virtually 24/7. He came everywhere with me. If he couldn’t come, I didn’t go. Seven years later I still miss him every day. I’ve got two dogs now and they’re my world.

Too real. I had a manager ask me why I needed to go with my mum to have the family dog put down. For start, he was a giant dog and weighed more than my 4’ 11” mum, not to mention the fact that he was also MY DEAD DAD’S DOG!!!
