I think they were both hard in their own ways. The King of Spades is basically an extended death hunt. He’s faster, armed, extremely competent and can appear almost anywhere. Your odds are awful, but there are still things that can save you: hiding, running, teamwork, geography, sheer luck, or somebody else drawing his attention. The King of Diamonds gives you almost none of that. You’re trapped in a closed game where the only real weapon is your ability to understand probability, game theory and the other players. As the rules tighten, one wrong read can kill you. You can’t outrun the problem, and physical strength means absolutely nothing. So whilst the King of Spades game is physically harder to survive, I'd still take it over the King of Diamonds as I no I'd had no chance of winning that.

KoS was much harder - having a 1 in a million chance of beating a former marine in a fight, or waiting for someone else to. (You’d get carried if you were Dodo tho). But KoD is a 1/5 chance of pure luck really - also depends who you play with tho
