Problem I had with crickets was that if they’re not eaten quickly they hide within the substrate/foliage/background etc and because, unlike locusts, they eat anything (plastic, wood, bark) they can sustain themselves, multiply and go reasonably undetected and will bother/stress/bite the gecko. I stick with locusts now and a worm for a very occasional treat. I also ended up with 8 pet dubias as ordered online and were too big to feed to my geckos 🤣

Idk about yall but there’s a big shortage on Long Island because a cricket breeders supply died from the extreme heat… so I’ve been having to buy grasshoppers 😫😫

The two things my beardies go ape shit for: super worms and horn worms. 😩 They will tolerate crickets and roaches. My leo tasted a wax worm and it was all over. He is super hard to get to eat anything else. He’s been known to hunger strike for long periods of time over them when I put different bugs in there. Chameleon loves her crickets, tolerates dubias.

my crestie will only eat wax worms for live food, i have tried everything else under the sun and its the only one she will eat, I spoke to a person at my local reptile store and they said this was ok, she also does eat them when they turn into moths
