I used to play with this older man when i was little and he had 8 kids and acted very dad like towards me which meant alot because my dad wasn't really around and one day he just disappeared... im 22 now and the other day i got a random add on Xbox and got invited to a party and it was him! I told him im grown and married now and he was so proud of me...prouder then my own dad

My closest friend on xbox randomly signed off one day and never came back, 5 years later I saw him online again and messaged him. It was his mother she found his xbox and was letting all his friends know he lost with the big C :(

my son who just turned 18 has a group he has played with for like a decade. they still haven't met but they all exchange gifts in the mail for birthdays and holidays. he's the youngest of the group and I'm a single struggling mom. they all started to get jobs and moved to pc gaming. they sent my son a gaming computer bc they knew we were broke af. I have never met these kids .. I mean young men.. but I hope to someday soon as much as my son does. hopefully one day.

I didnt realize the gaming community was so rich in relationships until my grandson started playing at 8. Hes 18 and has been playing with the same kids all this time. we are trying to get them together for a graduation surprise in 2027.

I use to play Apex BETA with a kid who barely knew English but we would communicate with Google Translate on the mic. I always called him “Faith” because I couldn’t pronounce his real name. He would ask me to teach him English and every game we played he learned more and more English. He was Turkish! Today he is studying in Canada and speaks perfect English and he thanks me everytime we get a chance to speak 🥺💖 we stayed in touch through instagram

My daughter's friend from Minecraft passed away at 12. Her dying wish was to meet my daughter so we flew halfway across the country to see her when she came home for hospice care. I will never forget that trip and my heart hurts with every year older my daughter gets older without her. She still sleeps with the stuffie soph gave her while we were there.

my xbox friend told me he had cancer a few years back. i cussed him out because my pet bunny had just gotten diagnosed with terminal cancer and i didnt think it was funny. fast forward he beat the cancer and we met in person whoops we’ve been dating four years and he moves in in two months 🤔😅
