@artvangarde: @Homa　Loong is a performance artist working with Dragon Poi, movement and narrative dance. Using enormous hand-controlled textile forms, she transforms choreography into living imagery. Dragons appear to coil, expand and move independently around the performer, temporarily changing the architecture of the space. Homa describes her practice as something beyond the display of beautiful movement: her aim is to create performances in which life itself seems to emerge on stage. Some of her Dragon Poi works extend up to 12 meters, turning a simple movement of the body into an immersive moving sculpture. #artist #art #niche #avantgarde #japan
